City of Wonder: From August to Autumn

Well I’ve been a bad blogger of late-it’s September and all of a sudden it feels like fall is in full swing. McDonald’s Dollar Drinks are over, pumpkin spice lattes are on their way and school is back in session. This is my first fall not going back to school, but that has not stopped me from participating in “Back to School” shopping!

These past few months have flown by, mostly because of all the wonderful things to experience in Toronto in the summer.

I saw the Abstract Expressionism New York:  Masterpieces from the Museum of Modern Art exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario, which featured many works of Jackson Pollack:

I got to see the charming musical Billy Elliot:

I basked in the sunlight & sand at both the Toronto Islands and Woodbine beach:

I checked out Taste of the Danforth:

This summer I had my first shellac manicure at Urban Nails. As someone with healthy nails, I’ve never had any gels or acrylics applied to my nails. I was intrigued by the long-lasting appeal of a shellac mani, which includes a special polish and UV rays.  Shellac is indestructible! It is definitely worth the extra money if you are looking for a manicure that can actually survive day-to-day wear.

Now I am looking trying to find a cure for my post-summer/pre-Christmas blues. It needs to be something other than fall shopping!

So far I am looking forward to seeing Like Crazy at TIFF and the return of television shows.

What are you looking forward to as the season changes?

L.
